In New Orleans, a woman called 911 to report flames in the apartment building across the street.The emergency responders saw no fire, heard no alarm, found no panicky people in the street, nothing wrong inside the building.
The caller came outside from the hotel across the street and pointed to the 100-year-old gas lamps, which still burn on both sides of the front entrance.
"That can't be safe, will you put it out?," she asked.
